Thanksgiving Table Setting Introduction
I am going to walk you through how do build an absolutely gorgeous Thanksgiving Table Setting, using all natural materials - including edible fruits and vegetables that you can use at a later date. Even in some of our recipes!
I love seasonal decor. But I hate spending money on crap that takes up space in my house, that I only use once a year. That's why I love decorating with natural, seasonal food and foliage. It is gentle on the planet, our pocketbooks, home organization and emotional bandwidth. What could be better?!
Setting Your Thanksgiving Table
Step 1: Lay Your Foundation
- Tablecloth In this case I decided to use a neutral linen tablecloth because our foliage and fruits and veggies will bring lots of color.
- Napkins Neutral Striped linen napkins
Step 2: Flowers, Fruit and Winter Squash
Go to the grocery store or farmer's market and pick out the most colorful squashes, apples and pears you can find, that make you happy! They should be small to medium sized.
Gather some wildflowers from outside, flowers in the garden or pick up a small bouquet from the store. A few flowers in a single small vase or a few small ones down the table, goes a long way.
Step 3: Assemble Fruits & Veggies
Lay out all of your fruits (grapes, apples and pears are excellent choices), colorful winter squash and flowers in a line down your dining table for your Thanksgiving table setting.
Step 4: Add Candles
Add all natural beeswax pillar candles and taper candles in a zig zag pattern amidst the edible fruit and veg display on your Thanksgiving Table Setting.
Step 5: Plates & Silverware
Lay out all of your fruits (grapes, apples and pears are excellent choices), colorful winter squ
Finally, add the plates, silverware and water glasses to your Thanksgiving table setting. I like to pre pour the water into the water glasses. Then guests can be responsible for their own cocktails or mocktails that they have been offered upon arrival and are drinking before dinner.
Having the Thanksgiving table setting set before anyone arrives takes away a lot of stress!
Selecting the Beeswax Candles
Beeswax Candles:
There are many different kinds of candles to choose from. Ultimately it comes down to personal preference. In this Thanksgiving Table Setting I used our Beeswax Fluted Pillars, Solid Pillars, and Spiral Tapers. An excellent choice would also be our small and large Honeyglow Vessel Candles. Below are the links to the candles so that you can ponder your preferences!
Conclusion:
Making a gorgeous and eco-friendly Thanksgiving Table Setting is simple! Just follow these simple steps. Happy Holidays :)
