We use wood wicks for all of our 100% raw beeswax vessel candles. You don't see that combination often, but there are many reasons why we decided to go this route.
Sustainability
Our wood wicks are sourced ethically from FSC certified mills. They are completely natural and maintain a very clean burn.
Ambiance
In the colder months especially, I find the gentle crackle of the wood wicks to be very comforting. It feels natural to have a little flame and crackle, like sitting in front of a wood stove or fire pit.
Ease of use
Setting a wood wick in a vessel candle is simple and easy, because it is self standing. The wick doesn't need a setting device. It just stands up straight on its own, perfectly centered in the glass. Because of the fact that it keeps itself upright and centered, it also has an even burn pool of the wax.
Beauty
We find that the natural brown wood against the yellow beeswax to be very beautiful. This alone drew us to the wood wick.
